We gave away a DeMarco Chronograph at the Windup Watch Fair in Chicago. The entries are in, and we have a winner.
Congratulations Chris
Chris, the Chronograph is yours. Thank you for coming by the booth, and we hope it gets worn hard rather than kept in a box.
To everyone else who entered, thank you. There were far more of you than we planned for, and it was a good problem to have.
What Chris has won
The Chronograph is the other half of what we make, alongside the Ironside 200 dive watch. It runs a VK64 Mechaquartz movement, which gives you a quartz-accurate time display with a real mechanical chronograph on top, so the sweep hand snaps back the way a mechanical chronograph should instead of ticking.
The rest of it: a 41mm 316L stainless steel case, sapphire crystal, Swiss Luminova on the hands and markers, and 100m water resistance. It is a watch built to be worn every day rather than kept for occasions.
If you want the reasoning behind the movement, we wrote about why a mecha-quartz makes sense in a modern microbrand watch. And a chronograph changes character completely depending on what you put it on, so there is a guide to styling a chronograph on different straps too.
You can see the full range, Chronograph and Ironside, on the DeMarco store page.
How it worked
It was exclusive to Windup Chicago. There was a card on the table with a QR code that read "Win a free DeMarco Chronograph". You scanned it, you entered, that was it.
There will be more
This was not a one off. We will be running giveaways around new releases and future shows, and the newsletter is where they get announced first.
Follow us and subscribe, and you will hear about new colorways, where we are exhibiting next, and the next watch going out the door for free.
Thank you again to everyone who came to see us in Chicago.
